Convenience Store Sales Clerk at OBW

We are currently hiring for clerks at the C-Store located at Okoboji Boat Works.

Convenience store clerks will provide assistance to customers, greeting patrons, helping locate items, ensuring the store is organized, helping rental customers with reservations, and operating the cash register. Weekend and holiday hours are required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Interaction – Convenience store clerks are on the front lines interacting with patrons.  Clerks will also be answering general phone inquiries and transferring them to correct locations as necessary. They welcome customers, answer any questions related to rentals or products in store, maintaining a helpful and positive attitude in all interactions.

Store and Merchandise Maintenance – Clerks will arrange merchandise, stock shelves, manage store displays, and ensure all areas are clean and neat.  This can include taking out trash, dusting, mopping floors, and other duties as necessary. Clerks will also open and close the store, depending on shifts.  Convenience store clerks are expected to keep track of inventory, notifying the manger when something is running low or ordering new inventory as needed.

Operate Cash Register – Clerks will operate and be instructed on Okoboji Boat Works Point of Sale program, which includes processing customer payments, handling cash, debit and credit transactions.
