Parks Marina in Okoboji, Iowa and Upper Des Moines Opportunity have teamed up once again to launch Boatloads of Toys, an effort to provide Christmas toys and clothing to youth in need in Dickinson County. To date, Parks Marina's Boatloads of Toys estimates close to $15,000 in toys and clothing have been distributed to area youth.

Now through December 19th, bring an unwrapped new toy or new articles of clothing to Parks Marina, located on East Lake Okoboji, or to Okoboji Boat Works on West Lake Okoboji. Toys will be distributed by Upper Des Moines Opportunity to youth in Dickinson County.

"Christmas is my favorite time of year," says Debbie Parks, Marketing Director at Parks Marina. "This toy drive helps make it just as special for local families in need. Please consider making a donation."

This is the seventh year for the toy drive and to encourage donations, Parks Marina will offer a 20% off shopping spree to those who donate. The coupon will be good on all Barefoot gear, apparel and select water accessories.

Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. (UDMO) is one of 18 Community Action Agencies in the State of Iowa and has been serving our communities since 1965.
