PARKS MARINA customers bring Christmas Joy to 11th Annual “Boat Loads of Toys”

Parks Marina in Okoboji, Iowa and Upper Des Moines Opportunity in Spirit Lake are proud to announce that the 11th annual Boat Loads of Toys;  produced another astonishing $5,000 worth of toys and children’s clothing. The annual campaign provides Christmas toys and clothing to youth in need throughout Dickinson County and surrounding areas. Customers were encouraged to bring unwrapped gifts to Parks Marina and Okoboji Boat Works in Okoboji. In the course of 11 years Parks Marina customers have donated over $36,000 worth of toys and clothing.

“The generosity of our Parks Marina customers is overwhelming and greatly appreciated.” says Debbie Parks, Marketing Manager at Parks Marina.  “We take great pride in our partnership with Upper Des Moines Opportunity and the important work they do for our community.”

Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. (UDMO) is one of 18 Community Action Agencies in the State of Iowa and has been serving our communities since 1965. It is a nonprofit organization that was established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight America’s War on Poverty at the local level.
