“The generosity of our Parks Marina customers is overwhelming and greatly appreciated.” says Debbie Parks, Marketing Manager at Parks Marina. “We take great pride in our partnership with Upper Des Moines Opportunity and the important work they do for our community.”
Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. (UDMO) is one of 18 Community Action Agencies in the State of Iowa and has been serving our communities since 1965. It is a nonprofit organization that was established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight America’s War on Poverty at the local level.
“Dickinson County Outreach would like to thank Parks Marina and Okoboji Boat Works for their customer’s awesome donations of toys and clothes plus coats and snow pants.”, said Deb Weir, Outreach Specialist for Upper Des Moines Opportunity,” Families come in to pick out toys for their children’s Christmas. They are so thankful and joyful to be able to pick out a gift almost like shopping.”
Parks Marina continues to not only be dedicated to the service and care of its customers and employees, but also to the Iowa Great Lakes Region and its surrounding communities.
