PARKS MARINA #1 CROWNLINE DEALER, 4TH YEAR RUNNING

Posted on May 10, 2013 in Press Releases

Parks Marina in Okoboji, IA and Sioux Falls, SD is excited to announce it has achieved the ranking of the Number One Dealer in North America for Crownline Boats for the fourth year in a row. This prestigious recognition is based on outstanding sales, service and total dedication to customer satisfaction.

Crownline is a dominate force in every major boating market with the introductions of five new models over the past eighteen months and three more to complete the 2013 model year. Crownline's professional dealer network consists of 150 marine establishments in the United States, and across the world.

Parks Marina was also named the Number Four Dealer in the World for the second year in a row for Cobalt Boats. Cobalt's customer survey program, implemented in 1975, has proven to be a great tool in tracking product as well as dealer performance. In 1995, Cobalt initiated a customer survey or Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) for every Cobalt model and every dealership. The Top Ten Awards are based on a combination of the CSI score and hard-fought sales volume. Parks Marina prevailed over larger markets including Chicago, Seattle, New York, both Austin and Dallas, Texas, just in the top ten rankings alone. Cobalt is a major presence in markets across the United States and the world, and has experienced phenomenal market share gain over the last three years.

Parks Marina started its 30th year in business this past September and is looking forward to another 30 years on East and West Lake Okoboji. What was once a small fishing boat sales and repair facility, Parks has expanded into an award winning, diversified three location business, with marinas, sales, service, storage, boat rentals, pro-shops, and specialty retail stores. Parks Marina on East Lake Okoboji is one of Iowa's most popular gathering spots for boaters and water enthusiasts alike. It features the World Famous Barefoot Bar, with lake views, food, live entertainment, and a laid back tiki bar atmosphere. Okoboji Boat Works on West Lake Okoboji features much of the same, along with state of the art boat slips, the world's largest Fish House, an expanding fleet of excursion boats, pro-shop and convenience store, and a sandy beach for families to enjoy. Parks Marina has also recently expanded its presence on East Lake Okoboji with the purchase of 11 acres of adjacent land and shoreline.

"With these two great companies, we have captured the market share like no other dealer has," says Butch Parks, owner of Parks Marina. "Our great staff, some who have been here the entire 30 years, are a big part of our success. We are betting on 20 more years of prosperity."

Parks Marina and its employees continue to not only be dedicated to the service and care of its customers, but also to the Iowa Great Lakes Region and its surrounding communities.
