“Couture for a Cause” at Parks Marina raises $1,425 for Alzheimer’s Association of Iowa

Proceeds were a result of the “Couture for a Cause” Fashion Show held in Parks Boat Club above Snappers Turtle Bay Café located at Parks Marina on Thursday, June 6. The event featured fashions from Lilly Pulitzer at Palm in the Park, West Boutique, Okoboji Boat Works and The Barefoot Bar.

“We want to thank the standing room only crowd that turned out for a night of fun fashions and to generously donate to assist those effected by Alzheimer’s Disease, “said Debbie Parks – Marketing Director for Parks Marina.  “All the money raised was a result of Bingo games and raffle ticket sales for magnificent prize bags with merchandise all donated by Parks Marina. We would love to make this an annual event. “

The evening was also highlighted by comments from Jill Madsen, Development Specialist from the Alzheimer’s Association in Sioux City and celebrity model Ashly Richardson from KTIV news in Sioux City. The event was sponsored by Parks Marina and in part by Keelson Harbour Senior Living Community in Spirit Lake.

Parks Marina continues to not only be dedicated to the service and care of its customers and employees, but also to the Iowa Great Lakes and surrounding communities.
