Parks Marina is accepting applications for a full-time year round FOH Manager at Snappers Turtle Bay Cafe!
Responsibilties:
- Managing and training of all FOH restaurant staff.
- Maintain a positive culture that exemplifies Marina District core values and execute vision of management & ownership.
- Document and execute initial disciplinary actions in regards to minor issues
- Ensure cleanliness of location both indoor and outdoor are of the highest standards and in compliance with food safety codes.
- Assist with staff scheduling or coverage, if needed.
- Maintain guest satisfaction by table touching and resolving issues on the spot.
- Handle employee issues or discord at the ground level.
- Act as a float as needed, including back of house.
- Empower and support staff in resolving guest issues in real time before they escalate.
- Relay positive reviews, praise, and constructive feedback to staff.
- Complete weekly inventory of product.
- Note significant waste and communicate with staff or vendor.
- Maintain weekly pars according to season and volume, and enter orders.
- Communicate with manager and marketing department.
- Brainstorm ideas for company growth and profitability.
- Check in all beverage deliveries and report any deficiencies or damage to vendor for credit.
- Ensure that all invoices are collected, corrected, and forwarded to accounting.
- Exercise FIFO (first in; first out) and confirm that product is being correctly rotated.
- Work closely with event manager to ensure events are well staffed and prepared for.
- Run daily checks and following cleaning schedule for equipment.
- Reconcile and record daily cash and submit daily reports and receipts.
- Make change orders to the bank as needed.
- Run deposits to Accounting daily.
- Calculate and distribute tipouts in a timely manner each week.
- Troubleshoot IT issues with the POS, TVs, ATMs, and credit card readers.
- Program POS computer with new items, price changes, specials, & merchandise updates.
- Work with operations manager to select vendor products for the season.
- Ensure that labor laws are observed by minors and policies are strictly followed.
- Keep employee contacts up to date with new and exiting staff members.
- Lead regular staff meetings.
- Work in tandem with your scheduling manager to keep labor costs down.
- Create motivational opportunities and incentives to build sales & morale.
- Keep COGS low.
- Create and assign seating charts and divide sections for the day.
- Confirm that the restaurant is ready for business.
- Work closely with kitchen manager to stay up to date on menu changes.
- Make sure FOH staff are informed in a timely manner of pertinent information.
- Make certain to keep operations and administration managers up to date.
Experience:
Previous management experience required; preferably in hospitality/restaurant.
Pay: $18-23/hr DOE

Schedule:This is a year around full-time position with overtime pay Memorial through Labor Day. Weekends and some evenings are required, with much more flexibility to be enjoyed during non-peak season.
